Head Coach - Jahmanie Anderson

Jahmanie brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the NPSL.  As Head Soccer Coach of the Alexandria Rough Diamonds, he looks to make an impact through style of play and football culture.

 

Playing Career - Jahmanie grew up in Silver Spring MD, watching his father Devon Anderson play for the Jamaica Nats before playing youth club soccer for Calverton where he was coached by Oscar Amaguana.  Then, he moved onto playing for the Potomac Silver Streak for Coach Dave Scaggs where he won 6 state cup championships and 1 region I title.  Jahmanie played Olympic Development Program for the Maryland State team for coach Keith Tucker where he was a perennial Regional pool player and made the Regional team that traveled to England.  Jahmanie made All State and All Met while playing soccer for Paint Branch High School.  Anderson went on to earn a full soccer scholarship to Howard University where he won two Mid-continent conference championships and two NCAA tournament berths as MVP while playing for Coach Keith Tucker.  Jahmanie continued his playing career by playing professionally in USL division 1 for the Maryland Mania and USL division 2 for Ocean City Sharks before playing in Jamaica Premier League for Arnett Gardens and Village United.

 

Coaching career- Jahmanie is a USSF licensed coach who began coaching in Los Angeles at Mark Twain Middle School, and coaching travel soccer for the Mar Vista Lobos in the Coast Soccer league.  Then, he coached for DC United through the United for DC soccer program.   Next, he began developing youth players and entering then into competitions through his grassroots organization; Ball 4 Vision.  Then, he coached the Wheaton High School girls’ varsity soccer team and the Paint Branch JV boys’ team.  He also coached club teams for ESYDA and Luciano Emilio Soccer Academy.
